Deb Brown performs around the Twin Cities area and beyond at many venues and events. Her flexible vocal style has allowed her to sing with a variety of live bands and on numerous recording projects. She has recorded and/or sung live with The Butanes Soul Revue, Willie Walker and the Butanes, Tina and the B-Sides, Cynthia Johnson ('Funkytown'), The Modd Squad, The Bruce Henry Band, The Oddfathers, Soul Tight Committee, The Paul Holland Band, Pop Luxe, The Sevilles, and numerous others, including her own band. She toured as a backup singer with 'Straighten Up & Fly Right--a Tribute to Nat King Cole' in the spring of 2013. Deb was the lead female vocalist for Collide Dance Theatre's production of 'Class of '85' in October 2014, which received rave reviews. She has received airplay on radio stations throughout the U.S. and Europe as a lead and backup singer. Deb has lent her speaking and singing voice to radio/TV commercials for Best Buy, Minneapolis Star Tribune, Mervyn's, numerous local businesses, and for an online commercial for popular NBC TV reality show, 'America's Got Talent.' She has also appeared in local TV commercials. Some other career highlights include opening for legendary singer Al Green at the Orpheum Theater, opening for Tower of Power and for The Suburbs at First Avenue Nightclub, singing the National Anthem at a Minnesota Twins game for several thousand people, and being a Minnesota Music Award recipient and nominee for several years in a row, one category being “Best Female Vocalist.” Deb has released two CD's: 'Blonde Faith' and 'Beautiful Disaster,' both of which include some of her original songs, have received favorable press reviews, and are receiving airplay around the world. She is currently producing and performing in a shows she created: 'River...a tribute to the music of Carole King, Joni Mitchell & Carly Simon' which is receiving rave reviews, and Almost Paradise-1984 Prom Night, which is also gaining popularity.
Rachel Holder is a singer living in St. Paul. Her versatile vocals have been heard with some the biggest names in the Twin Cities music scene, and she's had a regular presence at venues such as The Dakota Jazz Club, Hell’s Kitchen, and Crooners Lounge and Supper Club. She has been featured in a variety of tribute concerts at the Ordway Center for Performing Arts and at the Chanhassen Fireside Theater. Upcoming projects include a duo with husband and banjo player Pete Hennig as well as an album recording with pianist Rick Carlson.
Jana toured throughout Europe, Australia and the U.S. as a backup singer to Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, including DVD’s, TV shows such as “The Today Show”, “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” and many others.
She recorded for Prince as a lead and background singer for 5 years at Paisley Park and is on two of his CD’s. She shared the microphone with Don Henley for his solo CD “Inside Job” after touring with him for 7 years.
Jana has recorded 2 CD’s, one is jazz standards and the other is a modern country CD with radio play, where she sings a duet with Eddie Money. Other credentials include singing with Stevie Wonder, Paul Simon, Bonnie Raitt, Chris Isaak.
Jana toured with Jewel and sang backups for her on “The Tonight Show” and “The View” and “Late Night with Conan O’Brien”. Jana has sung and danced hip hop and other styles on “The Tonight Show” and other TV shows. She also spread her songwriting wings with Sheena Easton recording one of her songs, as well as other songs being played around the globe on TV shows.
Commercials in her career are with Pepsi, Valley Fair, Polaris, Super Valu, Edina Realty, Cost Cutters, and many more. Acting was revisited in 2013 when she was the lead character in a musical in Minneapolis. Jana is a dynamic performer with great energy, a positive outlook on life, and throws herself into every song and every performance with joy and gratitude for living a life and career she still loves more than ever.
